It’s been a long time coming, but I’m finally making a move on getting my many rolls of film developed. I think I’m up to 30 rolls and that’s not including this batch of photos from the Kodak disposable camera.
I shot this roll in September 2017 right after I shot the Fuji Superia Quick Snap. Like immediately after because I was out and bought the camera at the Walmart I was at and finished it that day.
I’ve been pretty slow and getting my rolls developed, but not slow at shooting film. My Diana Mini has been in use since I bought her for my birthday. I can’t say the same for my Canon AE-1 because the shutter is stuck. I haven’t sent it off to get fixed because I am a massive procrastinator obviously.
Here are some of the photos from this roll. I like how they looked compared to the other films I’ve used (which for clarification is Fuji Superia 200 and 400 and Lomography 400). I’m not sure which film is used in this camera, but I really like it. I’m thinking of buying some of the UltraMax film and giving it a go.
Did you know that the Louisiana state bird is the Pelican? Apparently, the brown pelican. I don’t think I’ve ever seen one. Nor an eagle for that matter but that doesn’t make me any less American or Louisianan.
I can’t read what it says underneath this girl’s photo, but I think it just said she went missing with no further information. I thought to myself: did she run away? What’s her story?
My mother loves children so much. It surprised me when she told me she didn’t particularly want children (gee thanks mom). Kids are drawn to her. Here she was talking to this young boy and his mother.
I love the sunset on this one. I like seeing the sun in the morning as well. I should probably get more sun since I have a vitamin D deficiency.
I was over by the coke machines and she asked me to take a picture of her. My first model! She was the woman my mother was talking to. I love the smile on the other’s lady face as well and the look of confusion on her son’s face.
This little fella is Boowap (don’t ask me about his name. Louie named him that) and you’ll probably be seeing more of him in my photos. He’s a chihuahua mix, but with what I don’t know.
That beauty in the back is my Coco. He used to belong to Louie’s dad, but he gave him to us when his father died. Coco went missing last year and we haven’t been able to find him. We’ve had a lot of dogs go missing. I don’t know if there’s a dog bandit or what.
Well that’s it for now! I’m hoping to develop more rolls soon and take more pictures. I bought a camera on Urban Outfitters and more film so there’s going to be some experimenting with that as well as using my trusty Diana Mini. Hopefully the Canon AE-1 will be fixed soon and shooting on a ‘real’ camera can commence! Until next time…
